GB UNITY TEMPLATE

A collection of useful scripts and assets that will provide the basic building blocks of your next GameBoy style game in Unity.

Spend less time tweaking shaders, cameras and adding gamepad support. Spend more time creating fun gameplay.

Participating in a game jam? This template will get you up and running in no time, and all of its components are easily adaptable to suit your needs.

FEATURES

GameBoy Shader
Outputs a 160x144, 4-color image. It uses the Universal Rendering Pipeline and was created with Shader Graph. It's very easy to tweak and supports customizable color palettes that can be changed during run time.

Input System
All the Game Boy buttons are already mapped to 2 keyboard sets and gamepad, using the new Unity Input System.

Sound System
Play sounds and music without needing to set individual audio sources on every object.

Example Assets
A menu system, an options screen, a dialog system, fading between scenes, etc. All of them are easily expandable.

WebGL Ready
No last minute surprises when submitting your Game Jam entry, it just works.

CC0 License
