Made for GBJam9. This is a reimagining of the classic C64 game Space Taxi by John Kutcher, with elements from Crazy Taxi by Sega. Pick up your passengers, and take them to their destinations. Use your cab's turbo boosters for maximum speed!

Very nice mechanics and controls. The graphics are good-looking but sometimes it creates issues related to visibility. Like the directional arrow is getting lost in the background sometimes.

I'll add that to the list of issues to eventually improve post-jam.

Thanks for the feedback!!

Looks good and it seems to respond nicely, but I'm not patient enough currently to learn the controls, a bit frustrating. But seeing the comments below, it's probably me, not the game ;-)

Edit: I stand corrected, it works fine. at first I thought the only way of movement was boosting and that's really awkward ;-) After watching the movie below I saw that you can actually move with the arrows and just boost sparingly, which makes it far more enjoyable. So kudos!

One of the features I had to skip on developing to make it in time was in-game tutorials. Just a brief splash screen with a controls list won't do.
I'm glad you eventually figured out the controls!

Time is flying by lately. I must be getting old. :-)

Fun game! It was fun to control the taxi and the physics felt pretty good! The branching paths and additional coins helped add some depth to moving around when driving around. Overall, it was a good time!

It's great to see people play and learn how to move around. Thank you for choosing this game for your channel, and for sharing your experience with it!

Fun and charming. Loved the open level design. This game, I think of all the submissions, has the best potential at being a full game.

I would recommend providing the game to alpha beta gamer or manlybadasshero to get even more public feedback and attention, because it truly deserves it.

If i have any complain, it would be that I was rather confused on how to pick the passenger at first.

Except for that, this game was gorgeous to look at and gorgeous to play through.

Bravo! Well done!

There was supposed to be a hint about the landing gear and passengers at the start of the game, but it's one of those things that didn't make it.

I'll definitely consider adding it post-jam. Thank you for the feedback and for the kind words!!

Such a cool game dude, I love it S2
