A little confused at first that boulders could only go in one direction and that 'Stamina' simply meant 'Swim'

I just uploaded an updated version of the game.

I added a small hole besides each rock to show in which direction they can be pushed. Also, stamina is mentioned when you get dash, and should point players towards the next recipe.

Thank you so much for playing the game, and for the feedback!

Good game! Props to the music and art. I like the objective of consuming potions to gain traits. I also came across this:

There's a combination of plants that gives you Night Vision. You can return to those places and properly explore.

I should've added a lit cave entrance to convey it's actually darkness.

Ohh I see, that's what it means!

Game is fun how do I aim down sights

  • Close your left eye
  • Tilt your head 45 degrees clockwise
  • Lift your gamepad/mouse, place it between your head and the monitor
  • Done!

Results may vary.

Good one! I like all the different effects, especially the ones that are kinda useless, but somewhat like you would expect if you were mixing random potions with alien herbs. Knowledge-based games are always fun to design around.

Thanks! I made sure that the recipes for the effects you need to progress are found easily, and the rest depends on how much you want to try different stuff.
Now, getting all those effects to work in such a short time, that was fun.

Hey, I want to try this game but I can't pass through the press start screen, any tips?

Try clicking inside the game area and pressing Enter. For some reason, Unity games sometimes don't get focused automatically.

I'll try to investigate about it.

I loooove everything about this game. My only issue is that it crashed after I was in the recipes menu, or at least the ones I've collected, and I pressed M or N, and i just could do anything else other than pausing while in it, and un-pausing. This looks very polished, very nicely put together Doc. I loved your AM2R game, and now that you're working with Unity, I'd like to ask, how does the 2d workflow of Unity compares to Gamemaker's?

I'll give this game one more try later today, but an awesome entry for sure!

Looks like I forgot to disable some debug keys.

Unity is a very different beast, some things are more complicated (working with sprite sheets), others are a lot more convenient (Scriptable Objects, real classes, shaders, etc.).

Thank you for playing!
